Sewer Pegouts

We Locate and Map Sydney Water Sewer Assets

If you’re planning a renovation, extension, new build or any excavation near a sewer main, you’re legally required to conduct a Sewer Pegout Report. At Plumbchoice, we provide fully certified sewer pegouts across Sydney — accurately locating and mapping Sydney Water sewer infrastructure so your project stays compliant and on schedule.

We work with builders, homeowners, designers and architects, and liaise directly with councils and Sydney Water when needed.

What is a Sewer Pegout?

A Sewer Pegout Report is a detailed site inspection used to:

  • Locate Sydney Water sewer mains
  • Determine depth, size, alignment and offset
  • Mark out exact positions on-site
  • Confirm if your project encroaches on sewer easements or assets
  • Provide a document for council, CDC or DA submission

This report is often required when building within 3m of a sewer or before digging, extending or adding slabs near easements.

Who Needs a Pegout?

If a sewer diagram or sewer service plan shows infrastructure near your build area, you likely need a pegout before proceeding.

???? Homeowners planning extensions or additions

????️ Builders & developers constructing near mains

???? Owner-builders seeking CDC approvals

???? Surveyors & architects submitting DA documents

???? Commercial projects near Sydney Water infrastructure
